PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: experience with meditation practice
The Meditation Teacher Training Certificate enables you to become a qualified meditation teacher. It is a highly practical course that has been designed to offer you the knowledge and experience you need to be a competent teacher. This course is ideal for you if you already practice meditation or another yogic discipline, if you are an alternative therapist, life coach, health professional, counselor, or if you want to expand your practice or career to include meditation teaching, theory, and methods. You can join the training course, even though you do not intend to teach, but simply to deepen your practice and knowledge of meditation. This course would enable you to obtain a solid foundation of daily practice so that you could enjoy the many benefits of meditation.
Why teach meditation?
Meditation has long ceased to be regarded as the exotic practice of converted Buddhists or the idle pursuit of a few artists. It has become quite normal for managers to value their morning meditation, for mothers to participate in meditation classes and for travelers to attend meditation retreats offered by spas as a way to replenish the energies required for modern everyday life.
How did the practice of meditation become a trend in our society? Many people suffer from stress, lack of purpose and disillusionment with materialism, and they long for a more meaningful life. In meditation we may find peace, draw strength and experience freedom. This is a positive influence not only on our own lives, but also on the lives of those close to us, as well as on the world at large.
A new way of life appears possible and we can contribute to it as meditation teachers.
Meditation also has a positive effect on our health and well- being, as has been scientifically proven years ago. The rising fascination and scientific interest in meditation is shown by the fact that from 1970 to 2005, around 200 studies per year were conducted on meditation, whereas by now, this figure has risen to around 1 000 studies per year.

More about Irene
Since 1995 I practice yoga and meditation. After my physical therapy education in 2003, I wanted to immerse myself in the wisdom of the East so I studied chinese medicine. I have been working as a TCM Therapist and Burn Out consultant since 2007. I completed my yoga training in Ananda / Seattle, WA. The training included Hatha, Raja and Kriya Yoga with Terry and Padma McGilloway. I lived in the Ananda Ashram for 2 years and practiced yoga and meditation intensively and still integrate them into my everyday life. My further education in meditation I completed in the line of Chögyam Trungpa and various Zen meditations. I am a certified Ananda Meditation Teacher, certified by Gyandev and Diksha McCord, and my inspiration as a meditation teacher comes from Paramahansa Yogananda.
My intention is to recognize thought patterns which are in our way blocking us from inner peace and transform them. My way is that of serving. This meditation school serves as a guidance to inner peace and freedom in order to be able to teach others meditation and help them on their path to inner peace. More about Doris
Yoga enriches and inspires her life for more than 40 years. Over the years, her desire to find out more about what exactly resonated with her after a weekly yoga session. Her great interest was early in philosophy and the science of the spirit.

Since 2000 teaching yoga and meditation classes. In 2008, she was released from her first job (with commercial- administrative orientation) as part of an outsourcing. Encouraged by the new situation and the encouragement of her husband, she took over the overall management of the Ananda Yoga school in Wettingen. 2010 to 2018 she was a teacher at the Yoga Switzerland recognized Sarvanga Yoga School by Pascal Rohner.
In addition to the philosophy of yoga and the Buddhist approaches, seminars with Willigis Jäger (mystic, Benedictine monk, Zen master and contemplation teacher) and Peter Wild (theologian, religious studies, meditation teacher, author) influenced her understanding of meditation and her everyday life.

Experienced Teacher of Meditation and Yoga Classes
More about Maik
Motivated by the desire to look beyond the surface of things and events, I soon realized that the question of „what holds the world together “ quickly leads to the realization what holds my heart. I lived a monastic life in the Buddhist monastery of Thich Nhat Hanh for 5 years, studying meditation, Buddhist psychology, and delving into the teachings of philosophy and world religions. I lived then in different ashram for another 5 years. In order to be able to support people in a professional way, I trained myself therapeutically for many years and still am in constant continuing education.
For more than 20 years I have been on the road and can look back on more than 10000 hours of meditation and more than 100 self-therapy sessions, the Buddhist meditation of mindfulness, the practice of yoga. My extensive therapeutic training and my years of experience are a foundation of my work as a meditation teacher and therapist, I support people on their journey to themselves. In a life worth living, healthy and self-responsible.
Focus on teaching:
Consciousness does not mature for me only through the accumulation of knowledge or intellectual understanding. Only the training of attention and a refined perception enables an experience that penetrates thoughtfully. All consciousness remains empty and ineffective without the direct relation to the actual life. Only when it leaves the meditation and the yoga mat, it affects our everyday life and helps our relationships, it becomes alive and gains depth and strength.
